This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of the “Law on the Protection of Personal Data” (KVKK) No. 6698 dated 24.03.2016.

At Selimoglu Law Firm, we take maximum care in ensuring the security of your personal data. We attach great importance to the processing and storage of all kinds of personal data related to individuals who benefit from our services and all persons related to our law firm in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. This Privacy Policy provides information on the purposes for which your personal data will be processed by us, to whom it will be transferred, our method of collecting personal data, the legal basis for processing this data, and your rights under the KVKK.

Your personal data may be obtained, recorded, stored, and maintained by Selimoglu Law as the “Data Controller” in accordance with the data processing definition in the KVKK and may be transferred to third parties located both domestically and abroad in accordance with the procedures and principles set out in the KVKK and this Privacy Policy.

             You can visit our website without sharing any personal data with us. However, in some cases, you may be asked to share some personal information with us.

            The following personal data of candidates who apply for open positions at Selimoglu Law Firm may be processed by our Law Firm on this website as the Data Controller:

Basic Personal Information: Name, surname, title, email address, mobile phone number, profession, photos you share in your resume,

Behavioral Data: Hobbies and related fields (limited to what is specified in your resume),

Education Information: Education and internship information, professional qualifications, foreign languages known (limited to what is specified in your resume),

Basic Application-Related Information: Personal data may be processed, such as the information in your resume (which may include membership or interest information that may create specially qualified personal data), transcripts and employment references, positions you are applying for, job applications and related documents/communications, cover letters, information from interviews and phone calls, requests for salary/social benefits, relocation information, information about the individuals you have identified as references (including names, contact information, employers, and job positions), and any other information you provide voluntarily during the recruitment evaluation process.

It is the responsibility of the candidate who processes and transfers personal data to inform and obtain explicit consent(s) of the reference person/people (name, surname, phone number, email, etc.) mentioned in the resume.

 

Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data processed by Selimoğlu Law is processed for the purposes of designing and carrying out all kinds of human resources activities of our law firm, managing and improving the recruitment and hiring processes, carrying out the commercial activities of our law firm by employing personnel with the necessary qualifications, and protecting the legitimate interests of Yavuz Uyanık.

  • Method of Data Processing and Legal Basis

Method of Data Processing: Your personal data may be processed by any kind of verbal, written, or electronic methods, either automated or non-automated.

Legal Basis for Data Processing: The legal basis for collecting and processing the personal data described above may vary depending on the personal data in question and the purpose of data processing, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). Your personal data will be processed based on the following legal grounds, in line with the data processing purposes stated in this Privacy Policy:

  • Taking necessary steps to sign an employment contract with the candidate who applies for a job in the open positions of Selimoğlu Law and fulfill the obligations under this contract, if found suitable (KVKK Article 5/2/(c)),
  • Obtaining explicit consent from the candidates who apply for a job in the open positions of our law firm (KVKK Article 5/1),
  • Processing of data is necessary for protecting the legitimate interests of our law firm without harming the fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects (KVKK Article 5/2/e).
  • Special categories of personal data belonging to the candidates may be processed in accordance with Article 6/2 of the KVKK if the data subjects have given explicit consent to the processing of their data by our law firm, or if the processing of special categories of personal data is explicitly stipulated by the law, as per Article 6/3 of the KVKK.

Your personal data is not shared with third parties.

  • Your Rights as a Data Subject

In relation to the processing of your personal data by Selimoğlu Law, in accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed or not,
  • To request information if your personal data has been processed,
  • To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the intended purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, domestically or internationally,
  • To request the correction of your incomplete or inaccurate personal data,
  • To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons requiring their processing no longer exist, and to request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, if applicable,
  • To object to the occurrence of a result against you that arises from the analysis of your processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  • To demand the remedy of any damages incurred by you due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.

As the data subject, you can communicate your requests and complaints regarding the processing of your personal data to us via email at info@selimoglu.av.tr. As the Data Controller, within the maximum period of 30 days specified in Article 13 of the KVKK, and subject to the possibility of requiring an additional cost, we will respond to your requests and complaints free of charge.
